Preparation of the Preliminary and Main Design for hydro melioration systems for irrigation with associate objects for the Southern Vardar valley “Negorci/Prdejci” – Gevgelija.

The irrigation region of Negorsko Field and Prdejsko Field is outspread on the right side of the Vardar River in the district of the Negorci and Prdejci villages.
With the Program Design specification for South Vardar valley for irrigation – system for irrigation Negorci-Prdejci are covered Fn = 560 ha.
A part from these areas, with the project is covered (supplied with water) also 20 ha net area upstream from the system as well as areas spread downstream from the intakes on the rivers Kovanska and Sermeninska.
Covered areas (560 ha) with this system are spread as following:
- 100 ha are spread between rivers Kovanska and Zuica on the right side of the r. Vardar and;
- 440 ha between villages Negorci-Prdejci (in their district) on the right banks of the rivers Kovanska and Vardar.
Having in mind that water for irrigation is scarcity resource, concept of this Program is base on investment in water saving. In this case in stead of existing systems and surface irrigation with the program is proposing systems to be rebuilt – open channels to be changed with pipelines, in fact systems to be changed from open to close.
