At the highway corridor K-8 from the cross border Kafasan (Albania) up to the cross Border Deve Bair, Chakar&Partners have designed the section Dlabocica- Kriva Palanka. Section Dlabocica-Kriva Palanka is 11.2 km long in the mountain terrain with 17 bridges and one construction as a closed slope as a tunnel.
The highway is with two lines at both directions and one stopping line in each directions. The speed is 120km.
For the 16 high and long bridges was announce separate tender on which work three companies. Total length of the reinforce concrete bridges is 2.126 m. The terrain is very difficult for making geotechnical investigations. The geotechnical characteristics of the bases were good for foundations of the bridges. With the bridges are crossing six rivers at the very slope terrain.
All bases (geodetic, geological, traffic solutions and line parameters) for designing of the bridges were made by Chakar&Partners.
Total number of bridges is 16 in length of 85 m to 218 m and with total length of 2.126 m. Bridges from the left and right side of the highway are unlike.
